The British Army MTP UBAC (Under Body Armour Combat) Shirt is the current-issue combat shirt designed to be worn under body armour or plate carriers. Originally created with the British Army's PCS system to avoid the overheating and chafing from the original field and combat shirts and has seen wide use around the world.
It combines a moisture-wicking, olive top with tough and durable MTP sleeves for protection and concealment.
This is done to improve comfort, reduce heat build up and maintain full camouflage coverage.
The chest is made from lightweight and breathable synthetic fabric in olive colour, it's designed to sit under body armour where abrasion is lower but heat and sweat is the highest.
The arms are made from a blend of Polycotton material (70% Cotton-30% Polyester) for added durability on areas prone to wear i.e. shoulders and elbows, as well as being treated for IRR (Infra-red resistance) with added insect repellence.
Additional features
Two large bellowed upper arm pockets with Velcro closures. Velcro blanking panels are not included with this.
Half length front zip with storm flap for added ventilation.
Buttoned and adjustable cuffs.
Cut to fit under body armour without bunching with flat or low profile seams to reduce chafing.
